Austin, Texas or Victoria, B.C.. ??? Factors regarding rain, teaching jobs, etc.?

If anyone has any information regarding the difference in rain, teaching jobs, all factors, so that I am able to make an effective decision. When I visited Victoria a few years ago I fell in love with the simplicity and nature of the island. It reminded me of my "Little House on the Prairie" life when I was younger.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Since I live in Texas, I would say Austin would be the big winner! However, one thing you might really want to check out is the difference in teaching in the US and Cananda. Austin's weather is beautiful, Lake Travis is huge, and the nightlife is awesome!
