I don't have a car but am wanting to pick up a twin mattress and box spring from someone else's apartment and I don't have a car. Is there any company or service in austin that offers such kind of door to door service? and is it going to be expensive? I tried to look on usps and couldn't find any service like that.

Yeah, lots of guys with trucks looking for some extra cash and a lot of movers that do this sort of thing, you can find some on austin.craigslist.org/lbs
It'll probably be 50-100$. I think anything less than $50 and it's not worth the trip for most people, but it might be more now with gas prices where they are. Another option might be to rent a truck, the one you can get from home depot is the cheapest (something like $20 for 90 minutes - you have to make sure they'll let you just rent the truck though, because some won't if you're not using it to haul something home from home depot) and do it yourself. |
