Default I'm planning on traveling to Atlanta from Washington, D.C. Will there be less traffic Dec 30 or Dec 31?

Traveling time is flexible...
I'll be taking 1-95, and traveling time is flexible...

Both days will probably be busy, but I would think saturday is better than sunday. People push things to last minute.

honestly if it is not late in the night that u are traveling, say after 9 the traffic will be miserable both days. traffic in atlanta is horrible without a holiday!

the 31st, i would guess. as long as u time it to arrive in atlanta timed to avoid any busy drivetimes. (i think new years day falls on a monday) commutes in atlanta suck.

From Dec 23rd to Jan 2nd Heavy Traffic will not exist. There will be no such thing as rush hr because Everyone is on vacation and not at work. The only area problems will be areas near malls. Dec 31st may be heavy durring the evening, but thats about it. You should have nothing to worry about.
