Call the chamber of commerce. Ask them to email their tourist package. You can download the package. BIG saving via coupon to high end restaurants.Plus you'll get info. on all points of interest.

Bone's and Chop's are awfully nice places to eat, but quite expensive. Also the Mansion and the Abbey (where all the waiters dress like monks). There's a Ruth's Christ steak house there. Fellini's for pizza...though Mellow Mushroom was started there, and is awfully good, too. Sundowners is a great place to eat...make sure you try their poblano corn chowder. And for fast food, you HAVE to hit the Varsity. Also, I love Dante's Down the Hatch (the one in Underground is best)...try their strawberry daiquiris. Jocks and Jills is probably the best sports bar there.
There's a wonderful California Pizza Kitchen in Lenox Mall...especially if you can get seated next to the wall, by the big open space.
Manuel's Tavern is a famous bar, but more of a "neighborhood" type place...low key and laid back.
For breakfast, make sure you go to the Flying Biscuit Cafe.
To see, there's the big aquarium, of course....the World of Coca Cola is interesting, and the CNN tour is actually quite good...MUCH more fascinating than I had expected it to be.
Don't know the dance scene...Buckhead is really on the way out since they passed that alcohol ordinance and started cracking down on drunk people walking up and down the street.
Hope you enjoy the trip!

The Virginia Highland area is a great area for everything EXCEPT dancing. It is located at the intesection of those two streets near Midtown. There are numerous dance places in Buckhead which is notht of Midtown (intersection of Peachtree St., Roswell Rd. and Paces Ferry.
