I would recommend going to Canoe, in Marietta which is just North of downtown ATL. They have a website so you can check out their menu. for bars, it depends on where you are staying and if it is close to the MARTA(subway) so you don't have to drive. this is a huge city so there are good bars around every corner. You have to check out the aquarium while you are here, it is very cool. P.S. i like to go to Park Tavern, they have beer specials whenever it is raining, also you could go on a brewery tour at sweetwater brewery, both places have websites, so check them out

Ted's Montana Grille - Ted Turner's restaurant. Country, down-home food... you'll leave on a very full stomach because the food there is SO good. Try the malts for dessert... to die for! There are two locations in Atlanta, but since I'm not a resident there I can't tell you specifically where they are located.

I recommend Le Souve an interesting mix of French and African Cuisine its an amazing restaurant located 225 George St in the heart of the city. As for a Bar, try Talimway they have the widest selection of their own personalised drinks i've ever seen, truly an amzing experience! 89-90 Salimandewr Drive (corner)

You must go to Fado in buckhead (buckhead is just 5-10 minutes north of downtown Atlanta). It is a very popular Irish bar and they also have great food. As for restaurants, I would recommend Two Urban Licks, One Midtown Kitchen, Dish or Nava. If you are looking for an inexpensive meal be sure to check out Fellini's Pizza (several locations in town) or La Fonda.
A lot of the nightlife and good restaurants are located just outside Atlanta....be sure to visit Buckhead and Virginia Highlands. Both of these neighborhoods have lots of restaurants and bars all within walking distance of each other. When your here just hop in a cab and asked to be taken to one of these neighborhoods. |
