Anyone who is practicing real estate in Atlanta, I was wanting a little info about getting into the field and also becoming an apprasier. Interested in taking coursed @ Kennesaw State. Any tips you could add would be of great help.

This is not the time to get into RE in GA because the housing market is in a major slump and commercial is not well either. I am not an agent but have friends who are and even brokers and million dollar club agents are out looking for other type jobs. It will come back but this is a very dry time not just weather wise.

A F is correct. Also, there are so many new homes being built and usually as a buyer you negotiate with the agent representing the builder of the new home. I live in a newer subdivision and there are 5 homes on my street that have been on the market for the past 6 months. No one even comes to look at them. With all the new homes being built, why would someone want one that is 2 years old? So now is not a good time to become an agent. There are thousands of agents in GA and all are out of work right now.
