In my state, cops are in the gravy with a starting salary in the mid-$40s, nice raises, all teh free gas they want to burn, free car, free dog with all expenses paid, allotment for meals, insurance, retirements, and all starting with a mere high school degree.

All the life-risking, fast driving hoopla is just in movies, the job is pretty boring and paperwork over 90% of the time... Not bad!
