Not much racing happens for the first 400 miles. The announcers all slobber, froth at the mouth and scream, to try to fool us into thinking they are but they don't "race" until the final 100 miles.
There usually is a few yellow flags, they do average about 180 mph. |

Well I would say so, I mean going into the corners the drivers are going over 200 mph so there is high banking, and fast straightaways. The engines run full throttle most of the race which is about 70% of the time, give or take, and the track demands alot from the engines, and you will see alot of people who blow engines, and finish poorly because of that fact, and people will get impatient and cause wrecks.
