Based on the diversity of marine life, the flow and feel of the exhibits, and the amount of stuff to see, it is a fantastic success.
Compared to other aquariums that are considered first rate (the Baltimore Aquarium, & Chattanoga Aquarium) as well as some smaller ones like the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo, the Georgia Aquarium is second to none. |

I have been there a zillion times. Don't go ther eexpecting to see Seaworld..It is great because Atlanta has not had anything like it before, and it draws tourists to the city. the big seller is the huge tank...which boasts the largest in the world. The largest thing are the whale sharks and the beluga whales. Everything else is "ho hum" yawn inducing..pengiuns, variety of fish, octopus, starfish..etc.....
It is good for a 1st time visit, although it gets very busy, try to go during the week..but after that..it becomes pretty routine. |
