I'm flying in on November 1st and i want to go to the Netherworld haunted housein Norcross. How can I get there from the airport or from downtown Atlanta? It seems like the marta doesn't make it to norcross. Is there a separate transit system up there?

It's been awhile since I lived in ATL, but MARTA goes directly to/from the airport on their train. You might have to take a bus from a train station to get to where you need to be as the bus routes are far more extensive than the train which really only cuts through the center of the city (for lack of a better explanation). I would look into MARTA further to see if there is a trip planner link or a number you could call to help you determine how to get there and which trains or buses you would need to take.

Marta will only take you to Dekalb county. You can ride close to Norcross, but it will be a pain. Then you will need to get on the Gwinnett Transit system.
Marta's customer service is great. Call and you will speak to a live person that will map out your exact route for you including the transfers. You will need a breeze card for marta. It will be explained on the website. Also, if you can, stop by a McDonald's, you will be able to find a Netherworld coupon. That should help or you can always look on their site or pick up a paper called "Creative Loafing", you will be able to find it all over the marta stations. Have fun. |
