I am Traveling to New York today and have a Connection in Atlanta(onDelta)....Is the Airport Open??

I saw on the news that there is somekind of disturbance and fighting in Georgia, I just want to be able to make my connecting flight. Thanks.

My brother lives in Atlanta and told me the Hartsfield Intl. is still open.

LOL...It's the REPUBLIC of Georgia that has fighting!(Other side of the world) Not the STATE! So yes the airport is open....Lol I'm sorry I shouldn't laugh at you but this is one of those questions that is so stupid that it's kind of cute.... ;-)

Edit.... I have to say that Kat is stupid. The state of Ga is NOT fighting with ANYbody! It's the Republic of Georgia and they are fighting the Russians! This isn't Red Dawn and we are not being invaded by the Russians, people!

yes you will definitly be able to get to your destination its just georgia state its self that is fighting, not the airport or anything, you will be fine

Wrong Georgia! the fighting is taking place in Georgia, near Russia (between the Black and Caspian Sea), not Georgia, USA. So there's no problem.

Georgia is another country in Eastern Europe. There is no more violence than usual here in Atlanta. The airport is open

It's the country of Georgia (you know, the one on the Asian continent), not the state of Georgia (in the southeast part of the North American continent)!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. If there were fighting in the state of Georgia and the Atlanta airport was closed, don't you think Delta would re-route you?!

It has nothing to do with the state of Georgia here in the USA. The fighting is taking place in the country of Georgia which is near Russia.
