Gladys Knights
Harlem Bar
Justin's
Mary Mac's

these are popular places, but not "in the hood" delicious restaurants.

I recommend Gladys night's Chicken N Waffles, too. It can get really crowded and parking isn't easy, so I'd go on a weeknight if you can.

Hands down the best soul food in Atlanta. Go for lunch or an early dinner. They close at 7 pm.

If you live on the North side of town, try Greenwood's in Roswell. I've never been disappointed there.
