Question for Atlanta people: Does it bother you how busy your airport is?

Especially since over 60% of the flights are just transitory. Do you feel like you're being taken advantage of?

No. Since ATL is a hub we can get a direct flight to just about anywhere from here.

Security waits aren't any longer here than other large airports.

Nope, its never bothered me..... I fly out of there at least 5 times a year. I don't think we're being taken advantage of. We don't mind people spending their money at our airport because it benefits the city of Atlanta.

i hate that it is so busy because i had a flight at 8:30 am and i got there at 6:00 am and i still almost missed my flight, because it takes about 2 1/2 hours to get through security.

wft r u on drugs?? its good revenue for the city! people layover in Atlanta and visit the city and spend money.

No, it doesn't bother me at all. We're lucky to be a major hub - and a lot of the transitory flights help to bring revenue to our great city. Besides, Hartsfield-Jackson is a huge airport, there's plenty to do, eat, drink inside to keep you busy while you wait.
As long as you follow FCC guidelines and allow plenty of time for check-in, you shouldn't have a problem with the number of people or time it takes in the security lines. Personally, I'm glad that security takes these measures!
