Advertisment you have to MARKET YOUR PRODUCT. Also do you have liquor at your restaurant? Restaurants make over half of their money on liquor. Its all about marketing and having specials. Put an add in the local paper or do a tv commercial, or make flyers that can be put in peoples mailboxes.

Do you serve lunch to business people? Have someone canvas the area with flyers on cars at lunchtime. Gets people thinking about dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow. Deliver.

Advertise, display balloons once a week (car dealerships do that to attract attention) Have specials. Make sure your restaurant is clean!!! Great food in a wonderful atmosphere. Atmosphere can be key.

It would help if we had more info about your restaurant, what kinds of food you offer, neighborhood details and current marketing. Here are a few suggestions which may or may not help;

Make sure you're somewhat unique. How many restaurants like yours are in Atlanta? Do you serve the same types of foods? What makes your place different & how can you use that to your advantage?

Changes in menu to meet the tastes of new customers.

Suvey customers to get feedback on potential changes.

Listen to customer compliments & complaints and make proactive changes.

Review your advertising to verify it's connecting with your target customer base. How long since you updated your ads? Do you offer specials? Senior discounts? Do your customers know about these deals?

Get fresh eyes to look at aspects of your establishment. Signage, menu design, service, motif, hours, quality of food, etc. Use that feed back to help make choices.

Examine competition and find out what's lacking. Fill those needs.

Do you host parties and do you advertise that fact?

Off-site catering could be a new source of customers.

Participate in street fairs or local events as a sponsor or vendor.

Connect to the community, do you support local teams, schools or organizations?

There may be more ideas, but I would need more info...

Good Luck!

A lot of good information was given, also a lot not so good.
Your best advertisement is your customers. word of mouth is the best way to attract them in the restaurant biz. I go to places that are recommended to me. If people are treated well, a management presence is seen and you get what you pay for... then people will talk... the more they talk, the more they come.

To get better answers, you would need to provide more information. What type of restaurant, location, etc.
