Best restaurant to propose in Atlanta?

My fiance and I are going to atlanta on sunday to "officiate" our engagement!! Weve already talked about it alot, picked out the ring and ordered it offline, but I havent seen it in person yet. Even though i know hes doing it, he wants to make it somewhat old fashioned and still propose with the ring i havent seen in person yet. He didnt want me to just put the ring on my finger when it came in the mail.

Anyway back on point, I'm looking for a great restaurant to go to our first night there (sunday)!! We are staying at The Glenn Hotel in Midtown. Thanks!!!

If you were staying in Buckhead, I would suggest Maggiano's. It is a beautiful resturaunt that serves wonderful food! Good luck to the both of you and congratulations!

Maggiano's is a good choice for italian. My personal favorite is CHOW BABY'S. It's a very neat atmosphere.

Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe no one has suggested this one yet. I'm looking at all of the other answers and seeing that people have just given you good names of restaurants to EAT at. I mean how much are you two really going to care about the food??
On that night it's going to be about celebrating each other and your love, and that should only be done at a place that is going to provide good ambience and a nice backdrop.
You have to go to the top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. There's a restaurant at the top that revolves and has the most beautiful view of Atlanta. The lighting is dim, romantic, and there aren't a hundred people there with waiters bustling around. Plus, it's only 2 blocks away from The Glenn so you can walk if you want.
