Documents needed to travel China?

I am a Filipino Citizen that lives in US.My US visa expires and I want to travel to China.A friend of mine invited me to visit China.His from Uk and he works in the British Embassy in China
Is it possible to get a China visa from the US?What documents am i gonna need to travel there?Pls. help me..Im planning to go to china next month.

try the website, expert visa.com i get my chinese visas from there. they are in chicago. first you need your passport and a passport picture and their visa application, usually this takes about 1 week to get. last time i got one it cost $90.

Just visit the CHenese embassy website. You can download an application on this site. Follo w the instructions and complete the application. Go to the embassy yourself with your passport. They can issue you a visa the same day. If you are In New York the embassy is I believe 42nd and 12th. They issue 90 days visas. Also yo can get a 2 visit visa . Both visits good for 90 days. You will have to leave China though. Just ned to go to Hong Kong or Macau to satisfy your departure and return regulations. Although there are realtively inexpensive flight from macau to Manila on tiger Airways.
