but for beijing especially u can go to beijing tourist information center - beijing lvyou zixun fuwu zhong xin from 9.30 am - 5.30pm or beijing hotline 24 hours +86 10 6513 0828..

There are hundreds of them, do a google search. I personally use www.elong.net for most of my domestic travel within China.

Best on-line travel agency is www.ctrip.com . They are identical to Travelocity or Orbitz.com in the US. They can help you book flights, hotel or arrange travel tours for you locally & also internationally but I have only used them for local reservation.
