Is it illegal to take handcuffs with you travelling into China by plane?

I'm travelling into China soon and would like to take steel handcuffs as my girlfriend likes kinky things occasionaly. Is it legal to take them into China?

When you arrive in China they x-ray your luggage, if you have something you should not they will take it away from you.

No its not illegal, but it maybe against rules taking them on as hand luggage.

Handcuffs are certainly illegal in Hong Kong! If you bring them in and they are found they will be confiscated and you have to expect a fine.

I am not sure about the laws in China. You better study it or they may be used on you.
