Default Travel to China in 2 weeks....?

Me and my 7-month old son are traveling to Tianjin and Beijing. Any suggestions on the precautions I should take for my baby? I lived in Tianjin in 2006 but I am starting to forget how life was over there....

None whatsoever. Except for your embassies' phone number maybe, just in case.
Everything you can possibly think of is at hand. DON't take cloths for your kid (amof for yourself), but instead go to Yashow and buy a suitcase full of new stuff. Don't forget to bargain, start at 25% of what they ask and take home anything for no more than 50%...

Food from all corners of the world, all the convenience stores (there's a great one in the new Shinkong building on DaWang Lu).

Not for your kid, but for yourself: try the Beijing street food! Jian Bing pancake is the best breakfast you can get, for a mere 20 Eurocents! And if you're into meet: try the kao chanr; look for the sign (usually in red LED-strips) that looks like two chunks of meat on a stick, and you'll be surprised...

Tianjin is a bit less developed, but now with the Olympics approaching (and TJ being one of the venues!) the city will show you it's best side.

Oh Yeah!!! Buy your kid a cap 'cause all ole ladies in the streets will want to touch his hair...

Both cities are clean & safe places to go. Do brush up your mandarin a bit, a well pronounced ni hao, fuwuyuan (waiter/waitress), cai dan (order food), mai dan (pay the bill) and xie xie work miracles!

Hold your son tightly. Boys are badly needed there.
