Please answer! I have 18 websites all dealing with travel in China but they are seperate domains and it?

would seem this was a stupid way to go. All the info I've been reading suggests I should consolidate them all into 1 site to rank higher as my hits are being diffused between 18 sites. This is bad for profitability. Can I alias them all to my main site www.gochinasites.com and it will count all hits collectively to that domain or do I have to consolidate? Or is thier another option?

Yeah you can consolidate them and give as a root so that the number of hits to the page will increase and avoid duplication

You can create for example subdomains for 1 domain (gochinasites.com) for example

site1.gochinasites.com
site2.gochinasites.com etc..

This way all the traffic will go to one .com domain.

Sure I have over 100 that point to just 1.

Some have masking and others do not.
Masking is done back at the domain provider during the forwarding process. All also go through a 0 second forwarding script for tracking purposes to see what domains are being typed in. This way I can see where people go and what they do on the page and how they leave.
