Year Travel in China ???

What types of procedures or visas do i need to get - if I want to travel as a tourist in China for 1 year?

you will have to go out from the country every 3 months, usually, the easiest place to renew the visa is HK

You will periodically need to get your visa renewed. Not sure if its a hassle or not. I believe your visa is good for a month.

I'm over here on a work visa, the college I work for does all the paper work.

Consider getting a job teaching English over here.
