When traveling to China is it safe to drink Coke or Pepsi?

I heard you only drink bottled water and boiled water but is pepsi or coke safe to drink? Should you only buy it if its bottled or canned and not served open in a glass at the restaurant? My husband will be traveling there soon for business and any tips would be appretiated.

When I went to Europe, we drank only bottled beverages. I'd stick with this same rule for China, too.

tell your husband to only drink stuff that is bottled or canned. the drinks served in restaurants will use carbonated water but it could still be contaminated. better safe than sorry.

it's safe to drink when it is bottled or canned. usually in restaurants, if you're going for business it won't be those little stalls so they will give it to you in a can
