Travelling through China - Where? how much? Is it worth it?

Hey everyone. Could do with some advice.. I have currently been travelling through S.E Asia and wondered if anyone could offer advice regarding China?
I am thinking of heading north west after Vietnam, although I have very little money meaning I will have to go into my overdraft!! I am thinking of going to Yunnan province and then up to Tiger Leap gorge. It has always been a dream to see the Himalayas which Is why I really wish to do it.

Is it possible to work my way through Yunnan, then to Tibet, Beijing, Shanghai and end up at Hong Kong?

How much? and how long?

Any other advice would be great.

I hear its easy to work in china real easy from many people i even put my resume with no degree on the teaching work site Dave ESL and got 20 job request in a few days..

compared to southeast Asia i find china to be allot more expensive though... Especially hong kong and the other big city's...

You need several thousand dollars approximately. Depend on your stranded of living .
