My favorite restaurants and food in Amsterdam has to be Indonesian Rijstafel. Along the Dam...check out most of the falafel places, but wake up early, as these guys are cleaning the grills for lunch at about that time. Get something fresh off the grill, and liven it up with last nights "leftovers".

On Singelsgracht, near the bridge past Mellow Yellow's is an excellent Chinese Spot that is very well priced, and extremely clean.

If you are really hard up, and God would only know why...order out from Pizza Hut to your hotel or houseboat.
