Just a quick question for y'all. I have been reading a lot of stuffs about Amsterdam airport and I was quite disappointed about the rules that Ams will be a smoke-free airport. (I haven't been to AMS btw.)
I just want to know if the banning on smoking is REAL? I mean, don't they have like a booth for a smoker like me? you know, just like some other airports that they have a separate rooms for smokers! The reason why I ask is because I will be a having a 6hour layover at Ams and I don't want to go out of the airport just to smoke(I'm a chain smoker) So, if the banning is true"That would really suck!!!"lol P.S. I'm talking about a regular smoke(cigarettes) and not weed! Thanks for responding! |

Here is a link to the airport website and the official info about it (in English for you) http://www.schiphol.nl/AirportInformation/SmokingPolicy/SmokingPolicy.htm
Note, the previous post is not correct because the Panorama deck is also non-smoking (see the FAQ section http://www.schiphol.nl/web/file?uuid=b51e7e6f-a5f7-45e5-a24a-9586fb42efbc&owner=7a997966-4fcc-4f59-8af7-58f5f107418c&contentid=2325) So the only place to smoke is outside I'm afraid and that means entering & exiting security like the first person already said, so looks like you are in for a lot of walking in your layover - sorry EDIT - To Rainbow, indeed there used to be designated areas to smoke but not anymore since 01/Jan. If read the links you can see this. This is the official website info, plus although I am not a smoker as I live 15 mins from Schiphol and also use it many times. |
