does anyone know the distance from schipol airport in amsterdam to the hard rock cafe in amsterdam?

30 - 35 minutes by train then walk to HRcafe. Try the bulldog cafes while you're there too.

Hi,, hmm,, i have been to Amsterdam many times,, i never knew that there was a Hard Rock there???? hahahaha

You can take the train from the airport to the central station it is the 3rd stop if i am correct.. you will recoginze it,,
Everything is right out the front door .... of the station..

Go across the street,, to the left,, there is 3 white bldgs,,, 2 are a resturant i think, the 3rd is the local travel department,, they can book you a place to stay,, cheaper and quicker and give you maps and all the info.... all for free....very nice...
It takes about 15 minutes from the Airport to the station.. if that long and they leave every half hour or so.... in case your trying to get back for a flight...

But reality is that you will spend 19 minutes in the train and have to catch a tram after that or walk about 30 minutes, or you drive with a car and get stuck in the traffic somewhere.

You take the train from Schipol to Amsterdam central station, then take tram 2 from the front of the station. (Or any tram that goes to Leidseplein stop. Ask the conductor of any tram there, they are very nice and will guide you in the right direction). Get off at Leidseplein and walk south, away from the Leidseplein across the street toward a place called the Balie (De Balie should be on local maps!). Go left keeping this place to your right hand side, until you come to a bike rental place on your right (Mac Bike), turn right down a sidewalk/bike path into a little square (It's called Max Euweplein) where no cars are allowed and right in front of you will be the Hard Rock Cafe! The entire trip should take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, if everything moves the way it should!! I live here in Amsterdam, good luck and see you in the coffeeshops!!
