does anyone know an inexpensive taxi service to use to get from Schiphol Airport to our hotel in amsterdam?

i am going to amsterdam next week and need to figure out how to get from the airport to the hotel. i will pack too much to take on the train. I am staying across the street from central station

Just take a train to Central Station. Get a pass or a strippenkaart (that's what multiple use passes are called), and hop on the train going to Central Station.

It's a short and easy ride. Otherwise, you can easily hail a cab outside Schipol.

Yes, take the train and from Centraal to the hotel take a taxi. Trains are big, can carry your baggage ; ).
There are seven trains per hour, the trip takes 20 minutes and the fare is 3,60 EUR.

What about the train. Trainstation is under central hall.

You can store some of your stuff in a locker at the airport and take the train, two or three trips will still be cheaper than a taxi.

The taxi's are horribly expensive.

You can take the train and then the bus or "tram", but maybe your hotel has a free bus service from the airport. Ask your hotel for it.

just take the train..there should be some assistance available for your luggage....
