i need a nice but inexpensive hotel in amsterdam..?

i need to be near ehva (the university) any ideas where i could look or recommendations?

Basically anyplace in Amsterdam is within walking distance, or if you prefer there are trams and metro that are very convenient and run frequently.

What is inexpensive for one might not be for another, but I would recommend the Golden Tulip for a hotel. It is a short walk from Central Station.

If you want a cheaper situation, like a hostel, you can find some on Warmoestraat, or you might enjoy Bulldog Low-Budget Hotel on Oudezijds Voorburgwal 220 in the Red Light District (dorm beds with tv & shower & breakfast start at 26 Euro).

In the end it is amsterdam a very popular destination so it can be pricey but the winston hotel is very nice it also has a hostel attached and a bar and is in a great location good rates and clean i have given the address as well as a website address have a look!!Great place to meet people and get local directions for almost everywhere from em!
