Okay, is your layover 6 hours - or do you have 6 hours left AFTER all the administrative blahblah?
Because: getting out of the plane, through customs takes up to 1.5 hours. Then there is a 20 minute train journey (round up, and 2 hours gone). Then: depending on your destination, you need to be in the airport behind customs again 2 hours before take off- add 30 minutes train - and there is 4.5 hours gone. That would leave you with barely 1.5 hours - and trust me, that`s not enough except for a quick beer or so. |

You won't make the Anne Frank House as its about a 2 hour queue to get in! Have a potter around the red light district, peruse some shops and just enjoy a walk by the beautiful peaceful canals which basically make up the whole of the city. Just be careful a cyclist doesn't run you over!!

you won't have enough time to go to the Anne Frank house, it always has a huge line outside.
you could go to the Van Gogh museum you should take a boat ride on the canals, it's beautiful and takes about an hour and every tourist should do that once. also Rembrandt (the painter) museum is also nice to see and just walk along the canals and eat at a cafe on the canals! |
