What is a good cheap hotel in the centre of Amsterdam Holland?

Good and cheap do not exist together.

Whilst I do agree that not many can be classed as "good and cheap" (because you do get what you pay for, and also Amsterdam is not cheap to stay in), then you can get cheaper hostels and some have pretty decent ratings

If you check this site for the dates you want the rooms to see what is available, and then you can see the % rating and also comments from people who have actually stayed there (rather than just the marketing blurb which always sounds wonderful!)

Try the Hotel Old Quarter which is nice and relatively cheap. It is right in the old section of the city. There is a web site. There also some hostels on the same street- warmstrasse (???).
