That's one thing that I won't advise.
Don't try to take photos of prostitutes even from the streets, or you might lose your camera without any warning. One of my friends tried to take picture secretly through his camera mobile, and one of the prostitutes threw some liquid at him, what many believed was urine. I think you get my hint.

You aren't allowed to take pictures in the Red Light, there are ever stories that hookers or their occasional muscle have thrown a tourists camera into the canal.
