Hi,
I'm trying to plan my flight to Paris from the USA. I know the US is crazy about international flights and will need a good amount of time from my domestic (usa) flight to the international airport I am leaving from. However, When I get to amsterdam and have a connection to paris, will I need more than 1 hour? Will I have to collect my checked bags and then go back through international security like we would in the states? Thanks, once I enter the European Union, I don't have to recheck my bags to go to another country in the EU, do I??? |

One hour is tight. Amsterdam is a large airport. If your inbound flight is late, be prepared to run. I would definitely leave myself more time.
No, you do not collect your luggage or clear customs at Amsterdam as long as you do not leave the transit area. Just follow the signs to the transit area when you arrive. European airports are designed to accommodate international connections, unlike in the US. You will clear customs and immigration at Paris. |
