any good,cheap and clean hotel in Amsterdam?

Yes there is the hotel called the Waterloo... it is quite famous, but still dirt cheap. I highly recommend- that is where I stayed when I backpacked though the country! They know you don't have a lot of money and are very welcoming...

It was just a simple room with bed, tv etc.. We didn't get breakfast or anything but it was pretty cheap for Amsterdam and we were right in town but not near the red light district which was good.

Check-out www.bookings.nl .They have some good deals.There is also hotel abba,vijaya and my personal favorite for a number of reasons Hotel Rookies formerly Hotel Uptown.It is in the Leidseplein area which is very vibrant.
