Amsterdam hotels near coffee shops?

I'm looking for decent hotels to stay in Amsterdam that are close to coffee shops where I can smoke at nights and be able to walk back to my hotel. Price is really not an issue.. as long as the room is decent

I've been reading about the Park Hotel Amsterdam. Apparently, there are mixed reviews, mainly about how small these rooms are.. anyone have any suggestions?

I would be surprised to find a hotel anywhere in A'dam that wasn't walking distance to a coffe shop.
If price is really no object,the Krasnapolsky on Dam square or the American hotel on Leidesplein.
n.b. beware the space cake!

Go to Damrak or Dam Square, when you arrive and select a hotel of your choice. That's the area where most coffee shops are as well as hotels.
