What is the best hotel in Amsterdam for someone on a budget but not into hostels?

Central Amsterdam or Red-Light preferable.

Hi,, ,well ok,, pardner,, you dont want to stay right in the red light district,,, you will get your head knocked in....so this is what i suggest...
When you get off the train,,,at the central train station....go out the front door... go across the street on the left is a white wooden building,,,
go to the left side,, not the resturant and there is the Travel Office inside..

Once there, go in wait your turn,, and the nice ladies will find you a comfortable ,, inexpensive place to stay. for free.....
