Keep going from one to the other and ask for prices...telling one what the other offered. If it is off season then it can be very inexpensive. Call ahead and do the same to save leg work.

The tourism turkey must've thought you meant Antalya. The rest of us read it and noticed you need Amsterdam which is a great distance away from Turkey.

Try Hotel Crystal. Also try Travelgrove which is a good comparison site that includes Venere, Hotwire, and other good sources.

Check out this site for decent hotels in Amsterdam: http://www.eeitravel.com/site/hotellist.asp

I pulled this off Rick Steve's graffiti wall: Amsterdam: If you want to splurge (just a little), the Hotel Brouwer is amazing. It has only 8 rooms in a wonderful and super old building, it's on the Singel canal, and is the perfect location to travel on foot to the red light district, Leidesplain, Jordaan... (In fact, unless it's raining, don't even bother to use the public transportation. Everything is easily accessible on foot.) It's 80 euros or so per night (per room, not per person), with breakfast included. Very romantic.

Here is the link for that hotel: http://www.hotelbrouwer.nl/roomseng.html

Looks good to me!

If you're young and don't mind sharing a room with other people,
try out Hans Brinker budget hotel:
http://www.hans-brinker.com/tobook.html

Costs for 6-8 bedded room = 21 euro
Costs for 4-5 bedded room = 24 euro
