How did you enjoy your air travel getting disrupted because some FAA guy got his panties in a bunch?

Or do you actually believe Southwest, American or any other airline would actually fly aircraft they knew were unsafe? My uncle is a retired American pilot and they ran him through the wringer every year to make sure he was still up to the job. Why did they do this do you think? Why, I will take a wild guess here and say the worst thing for American Airlines was for my uncle to play lawn darts with a 767.

Look at the upside of the issue, how many gallons or pounds of Aviation fuel was saved ?

I had heard that airlines were outsourcing maintainance to
technicians who are not certified. If I travel by air I strongly
desire the landing gear to function properly on takeoff
and landing, but that's just me.
I believe commercial air travel will be dead by fuel prices
within five to ten years if not less.
