How was the experiance?

I haven't flown with Air India myself, but a site I find helpful when trying to figure out if I want to fly with a particular airline is Skytrax, which lists tons of reviews from passengers on hundreds of different carriers -- they're even listed by route in some cases, so you can find people who made the LA to Delhi journey if you like. http://www.airlinequality.com

For what it's worth, Air India is a 3-star airline (out of five stars) which puts it solidly in the "average" or "satisfactory" category. For comparison, most US-carriers are also 3-star airlines (with the exception of Jet Blue, which is 4 stars.)
