Is the air force worth joining if all I want to do is Travel and enjoy free education?

I don't have kids and I'm not married too

no branch of the military is a vacation. it is service to you country. if you are ok with that then sure, but don't join if you are going to be one of those who start crying about this isn't what they signed up for when they get sent somewhere they don't want to go.

What will you do if you get stuck at a stateside location your whole tour? You can do what you want. You get out of life what you put into it.

Out of curiosity though, why wouldn’t you capitalize Air Force but capitalize travel?

It may be worth it for you but you do have to actually do whatever job the Air Force will be requiring you to do. You cannot be living the Beetle Bailey life although he is in the Army.

Why don't you join the military because you want to serve your country? How about that? Yeah, tuition programs as well as the MGIB are given as appreciation, but that shouldn't be the only reason you do it. You'll get to see some cool places (maybe) but the military is not a travel agency.

If those are your only reasons a resounding NO is my answer. However if you do join, you will probably get way more out of it than what you are expecting.

If you want to travel the Navy is the service for you.

It's a volunteer, professional force. You're free to pursue your own goals as a professional, as long as those goals meet Air Force needs. If you're ready to put "service before self", as it says in our core values, then absolutely, it's worth it.
