Default do i need a passport to travel in the UK? (air travel)?

Just as the question is,
travelling from Glasgow to London
can I use alternate to a passport (ID etc. please name)

You can just use a driving license but if you're not a UK resident and there is any doubt about your documents, you should rely on your passport for ID.

On that particular route, on easyJet, no. On Ryanair (which don't fly that route, but anyway) yes you do need a passport. BA used to fly that route and they didn't need a passport either. Flown it myself on both easyJet and BA with photo driving license only.
