Try wearing it in a ponytail and then whenever you use the restroom, wet your hands and run them over your head - that should help with the static. When you arrive at your destination, take out the ponytail holder, shake your head upside down and fluff your hair.

Ok,,,it's funny how I know how to answer this question,, so please be easy...

The reason why your hair get's all flat and static is because of the air circulating in the aircraft... It's a pretty dry air, that's why everytime you fly, we roll around with drink's to keep you from getting dehydrated. Also,, notice how you're lips get chappy after a long flight..

You're prolly askin what this has to do with your hair.. Well, it's cause it pretty much sucks out all the moisture from it hence makin it flat and staticky. Best thing to do is buy yourself a leave on conditioner... You can get these at your neighborhood CVS, Walgreens, or Rite Aid. It's the best in putting back the moisture in your hair and will make you look extra hot and sexy for whoever you'll be meeting at the end of your trip...

Happy landings!

Airplane air is really dry. Also sitting wrecks havoc on the back, rubbing the seat back.

I French-braid mine. Works great and is comfortable. It stays out of my eyes and I don't look so "bed head" if I sleep on a long-haul.

Sometimes I put it in two braids. I'm blond so it give me a little of the "Heidi" look. No one has yoddled at me yet and my hair is much better behaved upon arrival.
