Does anyone have experience with air travel for large dog?

fido rides in the cargo hold in the crate, check to see if your vet will give you some meds for the ride, kind of makes the dog drowsy for the trip, i cant remember what its called though

I ship my dogs via plane all the time. The cargo area is air cooled and heated. If they are going by themselves, they get food and water as well. All of my dogs have been fine with it. by the way.....it is against the airlines rules to give your dogs any type of medication to make them sleep through it. If they suspect you have done something like that, they will deny the flight. This can cause the animals to stop breathing or worse. They really do not need it anyway.
