It is not difficult to blow up an airplane. If I really wanted to, I could bring explosive chemicals on board stored in separate 3-oz tubes of toothpaste, mix them together in the bathroom, and blow a hole in the nearest window by igniting the mixture with a spark from a paper clip and a 9 volt battery. Is the FAA going to outlaw toothpaste and batteries on airplanes now?
At some point, passengers have to agree to mutually trust each other. |
