i want to travel by air with blocked arteries?

i am having treatment for blocked arteries,i wish to fly to turkey ,do i have to take special precautions .do i have to inform the airline.

I would not reccomend it since the change in pressure can mess up blood flow. Ask your doctor if it is safe for you to travel, he may prescribe blood thinner or something to keep it from causing problems.

You don't need to inform the airline but you should certainly consult your doctor and take his/her advice, it could be that on a 4-5 hour flight a simple aspirin would be enough.

As a matter of the utmost importance is that you make sure your medical insurance are well aware of your problem, otherwise your policy would be invalid if you needed to put in a claim.

If you have travel insurance then you must tell the insurance company that you are being treated for this. It is probably a condition of your policy and if you don't tell them then they won't pay up if you make a claim (for anything even if it's nothing to do with your arteries).
