Air Travel vs Sea Travel - which do you prefer ? which makes you more 'edgier' ?
Post 9/11 I began to feel a little bit more 'afraid' on airlines, something about being carried in mid air by a giant tube with wings and 4 turbine engines that doesn't quite agree with my DNA.
call me a chicken but thats just how it goes with me. The last time I flew by air was in 2003 and we experienced turbulence which REALLY had me crapping my pants ( i was seated next to the window at the time, next to a 'big' man with a snoring and bladder problem) and to make matters worse the cue to the toilet was massive and some rude lady mistakenly confused me for the actual person who nudged her to get ahead of the cue, and remarked 'well, i guess its 'anti-manners' day for some individuals' (she was an american...not that it mattered but the annoyance of hearing that remark in her US accent....grr)
the way i see it is - sea travel is less scary than air travel.
1) if your ship crashes it will either become stranded or it will start sinking.
2) if your plane crashes in mid air - you're a goner.
although a religious nut would argue 'if i died in mid air i'd take less time to reach gods kingdom' heh.
if i died at sea i'd like to be brought back to life by a bunch of killer whales, so i can spend the rest of my sea faring life fighting cool battles against our #1 rival/nemesis of the waters - the great white.
sea travel 1 - air travel 0
which do u prefer ?
