An air travel question?

I know you can take one carry on and one personal item through a security checkpoint...

Laptop computer and purse are listed as personal items.

Problem is... I want to take both a purse AND my laptop. Sheesh! Can I just stuff my purse in my carry-on, or my laptop in my carry-on?

yes, one carry on means a "carry on bag" so you could put your purse in the bag or laptop and carry the other.
