Not all airlines are charging for non-alcoholic drinks, and nothing is stopping you from buying your on the ground and bringing it aboard. And yes, you can bring a water bottle. In fact, it's a good idea. I generally do.
No one sits on the runway for 8 hours, but I know what you're talking about. When, by the way, was the last time you were trapped on a plane on the ground for a fraction of that?
Airlines aren't inspecting you personal belonging or feeling you up.)(Actually, my guess is that no one is feeling you up, but if anyone is it's not an airline employee
