What's the best day to book air travel?

I have to fly to Minneapolis twice in July and wondered if there was a better day of the week to book travel. I know the prices fluctuate and the sooner I get the flights booked the better.

You can usually get better rates if you travel Tuesday through Thursday. Most of the major airlines post their internet specials each Tuesday. Visit their individual sites and sign up for their newsletter. Weekly specials are listed in those.

The best days to travel would be Tuesday evenings or Saturday nights. Business travelers usually fly out on Mondays and Wednesdays and return home on Thursdays or Fridays. Vacationers usually flight out Friday night/Sat mornings and return home on Sunday nights. Hope this helps.
