I like to break up the flight into sections. 1st you take off. You spend the first hour or so getting settled into the flight. By this time you should be getting a meal, beverages etc. This should get you through hour two. After that you may want to get some sleep. If you're not tired, they'll probably be showing a movie. Sleep will pass more time, but if you opt with the movie, you're 3 to 4 hours in. Reading, crosswords, puzzles and writing is a great thing to pass the time.
Really try to get some sleep at this point. It'll do you good. By now maybe you're 6 hours in. Beverages or light snacks may be coming around again. Take a walk to the back of the plane. Say hi to the flight attendants. Wash your face and hands to feel refreshed. When seated, take off your shoes and really try to relax. You may just want to listen to your ipod. Music on the plane is also very good.
You may get one more light meal, but really coast the last two hours and know you'll be landing soon. It's a long flight, but you'll make it with no problem. Make yourself always fell at home.
