Default Im planning to adopt a pitbull terrier but i travel, is there anything else besides air travel?

I travel about 3 times a year to atlanta and puerto rico, but airlines have restrictions of not allowing "snug-nose" breeds on the aircraft above 85 degrees. I need to know if there is another way of traveling with them, because i might plan to move to either location soon. I would like opinions from pit owners or similar breeds. Thank You
I want to thank everyone who responded, your opinion is appreciated.

What airline are you using? My mom and I used to breed Labs and we would send our main female to out most trusted client to breed her with his male and American Airlines let use ship her just fine several times.

You could drive. Cal the passenger train companies and see if they will take him.

not an expert on dogs at all , but just as a practical suggestion, why not wait to get a dog until you are decided and have moved to the new place?
Whether you agree or not, it makes sense to check /research "dangerous breed" local laws and your home insurance and what legal liability you may have should you ever have an accident with the dog. Rental and condo agreements can also come into play here-you can be surprised about other restrictions and legalities that may "bite you" later on.

Although I wish I wasn't recommending this becasue SO many nice pits need a good home, I suggest a breed small enough to be carried on when you fly. Good luck on whatever you choose though.

Maybe you could see if some kind of cargo shipping place has different restrictions. Or if your going to atlanta I would say drive your dog would probably like that better anyways.
